The Catch
Vs E2B / Daytona / CubeSandbox: those are code VMs/sandboxes; Floci is a cloud API *emulator*, not a sandbox. Vs Coolify / CapRover: PaaS deploy planes, not AWS-shaped local APIs. Extreme ★ vs age (created 2026-02, ★~26k) — treat discovery heat carefully; LocalStack-shaped API parity without an explicit trademark disclaimer in-tree.
Verdict
MIT free AWS local emulator when agent/CI loops need :4566 without a LocalStack token — not a code sandbox and not a PaaS.
