What's Good
Long-running tasks, scheduled jobs, and webhooks in one SDK. Self-hostable if you need it. The v3 rewrite brought a cleaner API and better dev experience. Integrations with common services work out of the box.
The Catch
v3 was a significant breaking change. The managed platform costs scale with compute. Self-hosting requires maintaining infrastructure.
Verdict
Open-source background jobs with a self-host escape hatch.
