BullMQ

MIT Redis-backed Node job queue vs Inngest/Trigger/Temporal SaaS

What's Good

MIT core. Priorities, delays, retries, parent/child, rate limits, sandboxed workers. You own the workers — no per-run SaaS meter. TypeScript-first.

The Catch

You operate Redis + workers; not zero-infra like Inngest/Trigger.dev. Groups, Batches, and Observables are BullMQ Pro (commercial). Distinct from Inngest/Trigger SaaS and Temporal durable workflows.

Verdict

MIT Node+Redis queue. Free core; Pro for Groups/Batches/Observables.
