What's Good
MIT. High-performance JS/TS parser, oxlint, transformer, minifier — building blocks for tooling. Written in Rust. Active project with a clear lower-level lane.
The Catch
Biome is live — Oxc is the lower-level toolchain / oxlint lane, not a Biome killer. Do not sell it as drop Prettier+ESLint tomorrow the way Biome markets format+lint as one product.
Verdict
MIT Rust JS/TS toolchain. Substrate and oxlint, not Biome.
