What's Good

MIT (microsoft/mcp). One repo for Microsoft-maintained servers and templates, with packages on npm, NuGet and PyPI and VS Code integration. Uses your existing Azure identity, so access follows your role assignments.

The Catch

Most servers need an Azure subscription or a sign-in to a Microsoft tenant before they do anything useful. Release tags are per package, so check which server a release belongs to.

Verdict

The official route to Azure from an agent — if you already live in Azure.
