Forgejo
GPLv3+ community soft-fork of Gitea for self-hosted git
DevOps / Infrastructure · OSS/MIT
Reviewed 2026-09-07
What's Good
GPLv3+. Issues, PRs, Actions-compatible runners, package registries, Codeberg runs it in public.
The Catch
Self-host ops (or use Codeberg). Not GitHub feature-parity; Actions ecosystem is thinner.
Verdict
GPLv3+ self-hosted forge. Free forever; Codeberg if you do not want to run the box.
