What's Good

AGPL-3.0 (Homebrew/BrewUI). Official Homebrew app: SwiftUI/Swift 6, transparency for underlying brew ops, install via `brew install --cask homebrew-app` (macOS Tahoe 26+ per cask). Source and project home on GitHub; covered in Homebrew 7.0 notes on brew.sh.

The Catch

Vs Mise (cross-runtime version manager CLI): BrewUI is a macOS GUI for Homebrew packages, not a multi-language runtime pin tool. AGPL-3.0 is network copyleft — modifications you ship over a network must share source. macOS-only; cask currently targets newer macOS floors.

Verdict
