Gemini API Dev
Text, chat, multimodal, tools via Gemini API SDKs
Gemini · Apache-2.0
When
Write code that calls the Gemini API for text, chat, multimodal, image/video generation, streaming, function calling, or structured output.
The Catch
Gemini API Free Tier is real $0 (no CC) for eligible Flash models with hard RPM/RPD caps that change — check the vendor for current caps. Free-tier prompts may improve Google products. Pro/paid for higher quotas and production scale; Live/Omni video burn Free caps fast. Product proprietary Google SaaS — skills Apache-2.0, API is not OSS. Distinct from Firebase.
