What's Good
MIT. ducaale/xh. Reimplements HTTPie request-item syntax with better startup, HTTP/2, and `--curl` translation. Single statically linked binary; rename to `http`/`https` (or set XH_HTTPIE_COMPAT_MODE) for strict compat. Source github.com/ducaale/xh.
The Catch
Vs HTTPie (Python CLI UX) and curl: xh is the *Rust single-binary* cousin, not a plugin ecosystem and not every HTTPie feature. Incomplete parity is intentional (#4). curl still wins when the script must assume the OS already has it.
Verdict
MIT HTTPie-shaped HTTP CLI. Free forever; carry one binary when pip is the tax.
