The Catch
AGPL copyleft and macOS 26+ only — not a casual App Store drop-in for older Macs or proprietary forks. Young native app with a busy issue tracker; tip-funded maintenance. Vs paid Raycast and Alfred: Tinycast is the OSS native palette with Raycast extension compatibility, not a cloud launcher SaaS.
Verdict
AGPL native macOS launcher. Use on macOS 26+ when you want Raycast-class palette without Electron; watch the license.
