What's Good
BSD-3-Clause. Self-host OSS with zero platform fees. Free Sandbox (no credit card) verified on the homepage 2026-09-04. REST/OpenAPI, Next.js storefront path, native B2B and multi-vendor.
The Catch
Ruby commerce + REST/OpenAPI + Next.js storefront — not Medusa MIT Node OS. Solidus (BSD sibling) omitted: same Spree-fork slot. Distinct from Medusa.
Verdict
BSD-3 Ruby commerce. Self-host free; Sandbox has no CC. Not Medusa.
