V2 Rust core made it dramatically faster. Settings management handles environment variables elegantly. JSON Schema generation enables interop with other tools. The ecosystem integration (FastAPI, LangChain, SQLModel) means Pydantic models flow through your entire stack.
The Catch
The v1 to v2 migration was painful—significant API changes broke existing code. Some advanced validation patterns require understanding the internals.
