What's Good
Microsoft’s official MCP server that exposes Playwright to any MCP-compatible tool. Claude Desktop, Cursor, Windsurf, Cline—any agent that speaks MCP can now navigate, click, and extract from the web. Accessibility snapshots provide structured DOM perception instead of pixel-based selectors.
The Catch
It is a control interface, not a complete solution. You still need browser infrastructure (local Chromium or Browserbase). No built-in session management, authentication, or scaling.
Verdict
The standard way to give MCP clients browser access.
