What's Good
Dual-licensed Apache-2.0 OR GPL-2.0. curl -d to a topic and phones ring. First-party CLI, Android/iOS apps, single-binary server. Public ntfy.sh is free without signup. Self-host if you want reserved topics and no shared rate limits.
The Catch
Anonymous topics are passwords — guessable names leak other people's alerts. Public ntfy.sh rate-limits; reserved topics need Pro. Dual license means you pick Apache-2.0 or GPLv2, not Apache-only.
Verdict
