What's Good
Apache-2.0 (ccfos/nightingale), release v9.2.0 (2026-10-11), developed since 2020. Rules are organised into business groups with team permissions and managed through the UI and API, alongside your existing collectors and Grafana dashboards. You can inspect rule evaluations, event history and notification results, and deliver to Slack, PagerDuty and other tools. Includes a built-in AI agent and an MCP server, and a Docker Compose evaluation stack. ★~13.4k.
The Catch
Much of its community and older documentation is in Chinese. It is a separate alerting system next to Alertmanager or Grafana alerting, so pick one as your source of truth. The built-in AI features need your own model provider.
