What's Good
MIT (microsoft/magentic-ui), release v0.2.1 (2026-05-21). ★~10.1k. Useful when you want a browsing agent you can steer and stop, for example to study how co-planning and step approval change what an agent does, rather than one that runs off on its own.
The Catch
It is a research prototype, still pre-1.0, and the last commit on the default branch is 2026-07-23. Treat it as something to learn from and experiment with, not a maintained product.
Verdict
A good look at supervised web agents; do not build production on it.
