What's Good
MIT (KilledByAPixel/LittleJS), release v1.27.1 (2026-10-14). Clean, well-documented code with many examples, an arcade of sample games, an npm package and a yearly game jam (the third runs Oct 2 to Nov 2). Good for size-constrained jams and small web games where Phaser feels heavy. ★~4.3k.
The Catch
Mostly a one-person project, so long-term support depends on its author. No editor or big plugin ecosystem. For larger 2D games, Phaser or Godot give you more structure.
Verdict
A lovely engine for jam-sized browser games.
