Figma
Collaborative design tool in the browser
Design / UI · Freemium
Reviewed 2026-08-19
What's Good
Real-time collaboration changed design workflows. Browser-based means instant access. Developer handoff with inspect mode. Components and variants enable design systems. The plugin ecosystem extends capabilities.
The Catch
Subscription costs add up. Adobe acquisition raised concerns. Offline access is limited. Large files can lag.
Verdict
Default for product design. Budget the seats; it is not a free Figma clone.
