The Catch

Vs editing each harness config by hand or using a single-vendor settings UI: CC Switch is a cross-harness desktop manager, not a coding agent and not an API gateway. Extreme star velocity (~136k aria-label) and a long sponsor/relay block on the README — treat momentum and affiliate banners as noise; verify releases from the GitHub/ccswitch.io path you trust.

Verdict

MIT desktop switchboard when you juggle many coding-agent configs and MCP/skills; skip if you live in one harness with one provider.
