## When it is useful

Defining schemas, deploying, feeding and querying Vespa from Python with pyvespa (notebooks, eval loops, RAG prototypes).

## The Catch

Apache-2.0 from the repo LICENSE; SKILL.md declares none. Engine is Apache-2.0 and free to self-host forever; Vespa Cloud is a free trial only ($300 credits, no card, app stops when credits run out) — not forever-$0 Cloud. Python wrapper, not a separate engine — you still need a Vespa instance (local Docker or Cloud). Distinct from Qdrant/Pinecone Python clients: full ranking/tensor engine, not a vector-only store.
