## When it is useful

Configure GB_API_KEY / optional GB_API_URL for self-host so feature-flags, experiments, and analytics can run.

## The Catch

Writes ~/.config/growthbook/.env chmod 600 — credential helper, not deploying GrowthBook. Folder gb-setup. Keep so this is not a 3-drip with a missing on-ramp.
