## The Hook

Zellij is the Rust terminal workspace agents actually layout when tmux.conf archaeology is the blocker.

## What's Good

MIT. Layouts, panes, tabs, WASM plugins, discoverable UI. First-class floating panes and session persistence. Fits the agent-terminal lane: predictable workspaces for long-running coding agents.

## The Catch

Rust terminal workspace/layouts/plugins — agent terminal lane; not tmux-clone marketing. Plugin ecosystem younger than tmux. Some SSH/remote habits still assume tmux/screen.
