## The Hook

WeKnora is Tencent’s open-source LLM knowledge platform — turn documents into queryable RAG, an autonomous reasoning agent, and a self-maintaining Wiki.

## What's Good

MIT (Tencent/WeKnora) with bundled third-party notices. Self-host RAG/knowledge: ingest docs, retrieve, agent reasoning, wiki-shaped maintenance. Go-heavy stack, Docker paths, multi-tenant/knowledge-base positioning. Large adoption (~26k★). Forever OSS path is the GitHub tree you run yourself.

## The Catch

Optional weknora.weixin.qq.com host is a separate product surface from the MIT self-host forever path — do not treat Tencent’s hosted WeChat-adjacent portal as the license or the ops model. LICENSE ships with THIRD_PARTY_NOTICES / licenses/ for bundled deps — MIT on the project, not a free pass on every vendored component. Vs LibreChat / AnythingLLM: WeKnora is knowledge/RAG+agent+wiki platform weight, not only a multi-provider chat UI.

## Verdict

MIT self-host knowledge/RAG. OSS forever ≠ weknora.weixin.qq.com host; third-party notices are loud.
