## The Hook

usql is one command-line client for PostgreSQL, MySQL, Oracle, SQLite, SQL Server and many other SQL and NoSQL databases, modelled on psql with its variables, backticks and backslash commands.

## What's Good

MIT (xo/usql), release v0.21.6 (2026-09-22), developed since 2017. A single Go binary with drivers for dozens of databases, context-based completion, copying data between different databases, and terminal graphics. Ideal for anyone who knows psql and has to touch other databases too. ★~10.1k.

## The Catch

Still 0.x. Some drivers are only included in certain build tags, so check your binary supports the database you need. Completion and meta-commands are not as deep as pgcli or the native clients.

## Verdict

One CLI for every database — perfect for ops and scripting across engines.
