## The Hook

urfave/cli is a Go package for building command-line tools: you declare commands, flags and actions as structs and it handles parsing and help.

## What's Good

MIT (urfave/cli), release v3.14.0 (2026-10-02), commit on 2026-10-20. ★~24k (~35 a week). Useful when you want a CLI with subcommands, flags, env-var fallbacks and shell completion without a code generator.

## The Catch

v3 broke the v2 API, so older tutorials and Stack Overflow answers won't match; check the import path (v3) before copying examples.

## Verdict

A mature, lightweight way to build Go CLIs; follow the v3 docs.
