## The Hook

Traefik is the label-driven load balancer when containers appear and disappear faster than you rewrite nginx.conf.

## What's Good

MIT Proxy. Native Docker/Kubernetes/Consul providers, automatic service discovery, Let's Encrypt resolvers, middlewares. One binary that reconfigures as your fleet changes. Traefik Labs Hub/Enterprise are optional add-ons — the proxy itself stays free.

## The Catch

Vs Caddy: dynamic Docker/K8s LB/Ingress lane, not auto-HTTPS-for-one-binary. Steeper label/static-vs-dynamic model. Not a PaaS. Hub/API-management SKUs are separate paid products you do not need for reverse-proxy duty.

## Verdict
