## The Hook

SuperGateway is one-command plumbing so local stdio MCP servers speak SSE, WS, or Streamable HTTP — and back.

## What's Good

MIT. npx supergateway --stdio "…" exposes a local MCP over SSE/WS/streamable HTTP; --sse / --streamableHttp flips remote→stdio for Claude Desktop/Cursor. Docker image available. Useful for remote clients, debugging, and hosted MCP edges.

## The Catch

Plumbing only — not a Playwright/Chrome DevTools MCP capability server. It does not add browser, docs, or symbol tools; it only rewires transport. If your client already speaks the server’s native transport, you do not need it.

## Verdict

MIT MCP transport bridge. Wire stdio to remote clients; expect zero new capabilities.
