## The Hook

The Supabase MCP server lets an agent design tables, run SQL, apply migrations, read logs and manage branches in your Supabase project.

## What's Good

Apache-2.0 (supabase/mcp), release mcp-server-supabase v0.13.0. Connect to the hosted endpoint at mcp.supabase.com and scope it to one project and chosen feature groups with URL options.

## The Catch

Write access is on by default — add read_only=true unless you really want the agent changing your database, and scope it to a development project. Self-hosted Supabase needs extra setup compared with the hosted endpoint. Vs supabase (the platform itself): this is the agent interface to it.

## Verdict

The official Supabase bridge for agents — turn on read_only first.
