## The Hook

Sonner is a React toast library: add one Toaster component, then call toast() from anywhere to show stacked, animated notifications.

## What's Good

MIT (emilkowalski/sonner), release v2.0.8 (2026-08-09). Polished defaults and animations with very little setup. It is the toast component shadcn/ui uses, so it fits well in Next.js and Tailwind stacks. ★~13.1k.

## The Catch

Opinionated by design: heavy visual customization means fighting the defaults. React only. Releases are occasional.

## Verdict

The default toast choice for modern React apps.
