## The Hook

pretix sells conference tickets. It does not sell SaaS subscriptions.

## What's Good

AGPL-3.0 with additional terms. Self-host or hosted. Hosted is free for up to 500 free tickets per year. Paid tickets: 2.5% of price excl. tax, never more than EUR 15 per ticket. Shop, access control, and POS are in the product.

## The Catch

Loud additional terms: SaaS restrict (do not offer pretix as a service to third parties), footer attribution must stay, modified versions must not look official. Event tickets+POS, not subscriptions. Distinct from Polar (SaaS billing) and Lago (usage metering).

## Verdict

Event tickets with a loud AGPL addendum. 500 free tickets/year hosted; 2.5% after that.
