Novu is notification infrastructure that publishes MIT — and a default branch with no LICENSE file.

## What's Good

Multi-channel workflows (email, in-app, SMS, chat, push), Inbox component, digest/delay. Cloud Free is 0 USD/month, no credit card: 10,000 workflow runs, all channels, US+EU residency. Pro from 30 USD/month. LICENSE-MIT exists on next; main has a LICENSE file.

## The Catch

The default GitHub branch is next, and GET /LICENSE there 404s. Open-core: enterprise/, apps/web/src/ee, and apps/dashboard/src/ee are commercial. Self-hosted deployment on the pricing page sits under Enterprise. Free Cloud caps 10K runs, 20 workflows, 24h retention.

## Verdict

MIT notification layer with a 0 USD Cloud. Default-branch LICENSE 404 is the catch.
