## The Hook

n8n is Zapier you can run yourself — until you try to sell it as a service.

## What's Good

Source is public. Self-host for internal business, non-commercial, or personal use. Visual workflows, hundreds of nodes, and a real queue. Cloud exists if you do not want to run Node. Fair-code is the model they named.

## The Catch

Sustainable Use License is not OSI. Use and modification: internal / non-commercial / personal. Distribution only free of charge for non-commercial purposes. Files with .ee. in the name need a separate Enterprise License. Do not call it open source.

The workflow engine with a catch in the LICENSE.md. SUL, not OSI.
