Meilisearch is the single-binary search engine when Elasticsearch ops are the complaint and SQL LIKE is a joke.

## What's Good

MIT Community Edition. Fast typo-tolerant full-text, filters, faceting, hybrid/AI search path. One binary, great DX, SDKs everywhere. Self-host free for production CE.

## The Catch

Vs Typesense/ParadeDB: dedicated search engine UX, not Postgres extension search. LOUD: Enterprise Edition sharding/advanced ops is BUSL — commercial license for prod EE. Cloud is managed paid. CE is the free production path.

## Verdict
