mcporter carries MCP tools into scripts and agents — call them as TypeScript APIs or package them as CLIs with generate-cli / emit-ts.

## What's Good

MIT (openclaw/mcporter). npm `mcporter`. Masquerade MCP tools as simple TypeScript calls, or emit CLI wrappers so agents shell out instead of stuffing schemas every turn. Docs at mcporter.sh. Fits OpenClaw-shaped agent workflows and plain Node scripts alike.

## The Catch

Vs mcp2cli (runtime MCP/OpenAPI→CLI, zero codegen): mcporter leans generate-cli/emit-ts packaging and TS API shape — pick based on whether you want codegen’d CLIs vs pure runtime discovery. You still trust the MCP servers you wrap. Not an MCP transport gateway (see SuperGateway/mcp-remote).

## Verdict

MIT MCP→CLI/TS kit. Generate or call; different shape than mcp2cli runtime façade.
