## The Hook

mcp2cli turns any MCP server, OpenAPI spec, or GraphQL endpoint into shell commands at runtime — no codegen, fewer tool-schema tokens.

## What's Good

MIT (knowsuchagency/mcp2cli; PyPI mcp2cli). `--mcp` / `--spec` / `--graphql` discover tools and expose them as CLI subcommands. OAuth/PKCE and auth headers across modes. Aimed at agents that shell out instead of stuffing full MCP schemas into every turn.

## The Catch

Vs SuperGateway / mcp-remote (transport bridges) and MCP Inspector (debug UI): mcp2cli is a runtime CLI façade for APIs/MCP, not a gateway product and not an inspector. GraphQL mode needs introspection. You still trust whatever endpoint you point it at.

## Verdict
