## The Hook

Kubetail is a real-time logging dashboard for Kubernetes that merges logs from every container in a workload into one chronological timeline, in your browser or terminal.

## What's Good

Apache-2.0 (kubetail-org/kubetail), CLI release v0.18.0 (2026-06-16). The `kubetail` CLI launches a local web dashboard or streams raw logs to your terminal, using the Kubernetes API directly, so no log shipping is required. It tracks container lifecycle events to keep the timeline in sync as pods restart or get replaced, with filters by node, region and time. There is a live demo. ★~1.8k.

## The Catch

It reads what the cluster still holds, so it does not replace a log store for history or search across days. Large clusters with chatty workloads can strain the API server. Still pre-1.0.

## Verdict

A much nicer `kubectl logs -f` for whole workloads.
