## The Hook

Knip is the unused-code auditor when your monorepo still ships dead files, orphan exports, and deps nobody imports.

## What's Good

ISC. webpro-nl/knip. CLI that finds unused files, dependencies, and exports across JS/TS projects (workspaces-aware). Docs at knip.dev; npm `knip`. Source github.com/webpro-nl/knip.

## The Catch

Vs depcheck (deps-only) and eslint unused-import rules: Knip is the *project-wide dead-code map*, not a runtime tracer and not a type-checker. False positives show up with dynamic imports, config plugins, and “used by tooling not by app code” — you still tune entry points and ignore rules.

## Verdict

ISC dead-code CLI. Free forever; delete what nothing reaches before the next dependency audit.
