## The Hook

Kandev is a self-hosted control plane for running several coding agents in parallel: each task gets its own git worktree, then you review the diff, terminal and preview in one workspace before anything ships.

## What's Good

AGPL-3.0 (kdlbs/kandev), release v0.97.0 (2026-10-04). Native Go binary with the web UI embedded — `npx kandev@latest`, Homebrew, Scoop or release archives; no separate Node server at runtime. Speaks ACP to Claude Code, Codex, Copilot, Gemini CLI, OpenCode and more. Workflows with human gates, local/Docker/remote runtimes, no telemetry. Data defaults to `~/.kandev`. ★~919.

## The Catch

License first: AGPL-3.0 is network copyleft — check legal before embedding or offering it as a hosted service. Still 0.x (v0.97) with a large open-issue count, so expect rough edges. Parallel agents still burn each provider's rate limits and tokens on your keys. Vs codync (message bots from your phone) and claude-code alone: Kandev is the review-first board for many agents at once.

## Verdict

The AGPL worktree kanban for people running more than one coding agent — loud copyleft, strong review loop.
