## What's Good

Apache-2.0. Rooms, chat, desktop share, mobile clients. Public meet.jit.si stays free with no account. Self-host the same stack; JaaS is optional paid ops from 8x8.

## The Catch

Full Meet product UI (rooms/chat/desktop share) — not a LiveKit/mediasoup SFU SDK you embed. Self-host is multi-component ops; public instance is shared.

## Verdict
