## The Hook

Homepage is a fast, self-hosted start page for your server: links, bookmarks and live widgets for more than 100 services, configured in YAML or discovered automatically from Docker labels.

## What's Good

GPL-3.0 (gethomepage/homepage), release v2.6.0 (2026-10-17). Every API call to your services is proxied through the backend, so API keys never reach the browser. Docker integration shows container status and stats and can add services from labels. Widgets cover the *arr apps, media servers, download clients and most popular self-hosted tools. ## The Catch

It is a dashboard, not monitoring: it shows status but does not alert you. Configuration is hand-edited YAML, and complex layouts take trial and error. Do not expose it publicly without auth in front, since it can reveal what you run.

## Verdict
