## The Hook

glow is the Markdown reader for the terminal when README browsing should feel like a pager, not raw `cat`.

## What's Good

MIT. charmbracelet/glow. Renders local or remote Markdown with Charm styling, TUI navigation, and stash/browse flows. Great for READMEs, ADRs, and docs you refuse to open in a browser mid-SSH.

## The Catch

Vs bat (generic syntax highlight cat): glow is Markdown-*first* presentation, not a drop-in for every source file. Heavier than bat for one-off file peeks. Stash/cloud-adjacent features are optional — local files are the core job.

## Verdict

MIT Markdown TUI. Free forever; open the README in-terminal instead of leaving the SSH session.
