## The Catch

Vs Vercel AI SDK (TS app AI primitives) and Google ADK (agent build/eval/deploy kit): Genkit is Firebase-shaped full-stack AI/agent flows, not a multi-agent research OS and not a coding CLI. Firebase/GCP paths may bill when you leave local — OSS core still runs without Google Cloud if you stay self-hosted/BYO providers.
