## The Hook

GenericAgent is a small self-evolving seed that reaches from a BYO-key loop into arbitrary OS and Android/ADB control.

## What's Good

MIT. Install through uv/pip, bring your own model key, and start from a roughly 3.3K-line codebase rather than a sprawling framework. The compact seed is the appeal: inspect the whole system, change it, and grow an agent around the exact machine and workflow you have instead of adopting a closed platform.

## The Catch

Vs Cua, OpenClaw, and Browser Use: GenericAgent is the tiny self-evolving seed with full system control, not a browser/computer-use protocol, messaging agent, or browser automation framework. Arbitrary OS and ADB control means a bad instruction can reach the host or a connected device. The Chinese README installer also uses plain HTTP — inspect and pin what you execute; do not grant it secrets by default.

## Verdict

MIT tiny agent seed with unusually broad control. Useful to study and adapt in a disposable box; too privileged to run casually on a personal host.
