## The Hook

Fyrox is a feature-rich, general-purpose 2D and 3D game engine written in Rust that comes with its own scene editor.

## What's Good

MIT (FyroxEngine/Fyrox), release v1.0.0 (2026-03-29), developed since 2019. Includes an editor, scene graph, physics, animation, UI, sound and hot reloading of game code, plus the Fyrox book for learning. Demo projects run in the browser. The project states that no AI or LLMs were used in its development. ★~9.6k.

## The Catch

Smaller community and ecosystem than Bevy in Rust or Godot in general. The 1.0 release is recent, so tutorials and third-party assets are thinner. Mostly driven by one core developer.

## Verdict

The Rust engine to try if you want an editor-first workflow instead of Bevy's ECS-in-code.
