## The Hook

Excelize is a pure Go library to read and write XLSX, XLSM and related Excel files, including charts, styles, formulas and pictures, with a streaming API for huge worksheets.

## What's Good

BSD-3-Clause (qax-os/excelize), release v2.11.0 (2026-07-06), with commits today, maintained since 2016. High compatibility with files from Excel 2007 and later, including complex parts. No cgo or Office install needed. ★~21k.

## The Catch

Needs Go 1.26 or later for the latest release. Formula calculation does not cover every Excel function. Older .xls files are not supported.

## Verdict

The go-to Excel library for Go.
