## The Hook

dj-stripe keeps your Stripe data in your own database as ready-made Django models, so you can query customers, subscriptions and invoices with the Django ORM instead of calling the Stripe API every time.

## What's Good

MIT (dj-stripe/dj-stripe), release 2.11.0 (2026-06-26), around since 2013. Webhook handling keeps the local models in sync with Stripe, and sync commands backfill existing data. Fits naturally into Django admin and querysets. ★~1.8k.

## The Catch

Stripe only, and Django only. Model and Stripe API-version upgrades can require migrations and care. Releases are a few a year.

## Verdict

Use it when a Django app needs to reason about Stripe state locally.
