## The Hook

Dapr Agents is the CNCF Dapr-based framework for durable, resilient agent workflows — K8s-native actors, retries, and MCPServer auto-discovery from the sidecar.

## What's Good

Apache-2.0 (dapr/dapr-agents). Free via PyPI `dapr-agents` + Dapr runtime. Built-in workflow orchestration, statefulness, telemetry, multi-agent pub/sub, and scale-to-zero actors on platforms that already run Dapr. Docs at docs.dapr.io. ★751 on GitHub.

## The Catch

You inherit the Dapr + Kubernetes ops surface — overkill for a laptop coding agent. Vs Temporal + mcp-agent durability: different durability stacks; Dapr Agents wins when Dapr is already platform policy, not when you want the lightest local loop.

## Verdict

Apache-2.0 durable agents when you already run Dapr/K8s — skip for single-dev laptop harnesses that do not want sidecar ops.
