## The Hook

Codync turns the coding agents already on your machine into named teammates you message from iPhone, Mac, Windows, Linux or a terminal — approve, reply and get a push when a bot finishes.

## What's Good

Apache-2.0 (leepokai/Codync; versions through 2.11.0 were MIT), release v2.14.0 (2026-10-11). Single Rust `codync-host` finds installed agents and pulls ACP-registry adapters on first use (Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, Gemini, Copilot, OpenCode, Pi, Grok Build and ~40 more). Desktop builds for macOS/Windows/Linux, iOS App Store client, Homebrew tap. Free Cloudflare relay for remote reach with end-to-end encrypted channels and sealed push tickets; group chats, threads and per-bot memory. ★~283.

## The Catch

You still pay for each agent's own subscription or API keys — Codync is the messaging shell, not the model. Remote access depends on their free Cloudflare relay (or a direct LAN path); trademark and hosted multi-tenant rules say you must run your own relay if you offer Codync-as-a-service. Young star count relative to the ambition. Vs kandev (AGPL review-first kanban with worktrees) and openclaw (multi-channel personal agent): Codync is the open Grok-Bot-style inbox for the agents you already run.

## Verdict

Message your local coding agents like coworkers — free host, bring your own agent accounts.
