## The Hook

CLI-Anything turns desktop and creative apps into agent-ready CLIs — browse the CLI-Hub, install a harness, and let Pi/Claude Code/Cursor drive GIMP, Blender, Obsidian, and kin through a typed command surface.

## What's Good

Apache-2.0 (HKUDS/CLI-Anything). Generator + public CLI-Hub (`pip install cli-anything-hub` / `cli-hub install <name>`); skills install via `npx skills add`. Aimed at making existing human software agent-native rather than rewriting every tool as MCP from scratch.

## The Catch

Vs agent-browser and aclif: this is a CLI-surface generator/hub for arbitrary apps, not a browser automation agent and not a generic CLI framework alone. Many hub CLIs assume heavy upstream installs (GIMP, Blender, GIS, DAWs); star velocity is extreme (~50k) — budget the host apps, not only the thin CLI wrapper.

## Verdict

Apache agent-native CLI hub when the bottleneck is “the software has no agent API”; skip if you only needed browser control or a thin argv parser.
