## The Hook

Bend is a parallel programming language that puts proof-shaped constraints in the coding loop instead of treating agent output as trusted by default.

## What's Good

Apache-2.0 (bendlang/bend). Bend brings a language and proof-oriented workflow to agent coding, aiming to make parallel programs and their correctness claims explicit rather than relying on prose prompts alone. The canonical project is bendlang/bend; HigherOrderCO/Bend redirects there.

## The Catch

Vs Spec Kit and OpenSpec: those are process layers for agreeing on specs and changes, while Bend is a language/proof surface — process is not proof. Adopting a new language means a smaller ecosystem and a real learning/toolchain cost before the proof gates pay back.

## Verdict

Apache-2.0 parallel language for proof-gated agent coding. Bend is a language surface, not another spec workflow.
